I just saw this and I had to post it😭😭
And one day you realize that it wasn't the game, it was who you watched it with
It wasn't about the great cup of juice, but the great convos while sipping the juice
It wasn't about the best coffee ever, but who you made it for
It wasn't the business you built but who was in the trenches with you
When you're at the end of your years what's really going to matter???
A lil reflection on last year. It's obvious that it has been tough but for me it was the toughest of all the years I've ever lived, not to exaggerate but true. I can go ahead and speak more about how terrible it was but it's important to focus more on what it taught me. It taught me a lotttttttttt. That if I start I could go on forever. But I'll pick the one that stuck with me long. It taught me humbleness and humility infront of the Lord and the people around me. It was a very humbling year.It made me realize that I am not that strong only God is. And I'm not close to perfection only God is. All the things He gives me let alone the things I complain and cry about for not having, I don't deserve them and He just gives me because He is goooood. Period. That includes my breathe, the gift of life everyday, the people in my life and the dreams to come. I'm so humbled to be trusted with more days to be greatful and do good in this world.

Happy holidays to everyone. Let this year be filled with blessings and good things. 💕
🎈Why does the brain focuses more on the negative rather than the positive?
As we wake up, the first thing our brain reminds us is how bad yesterday was, how today isn't gonna be any different and all the things that are going wrong in our lives. That got me asking. Why is our mind naturally fixated on the negative than the positive?
Research shows that negative events have a greater impact in everybody's brain than the positive events do.....everyone's not just yours. Here's why
1. The brain gives more attention to negative experiences than positive cause negative events pose a chance of danger. By default the brain alerts itself to potential threats in the environment and then awareness of positive aspects need more deliberate efforts.
2. There's this naturally occurring "start of negative"and then "constant negative" feedback loop at play that, if not interrupted or countered can lead to significant psychological distress. It's the cycle that leads to a pit of depression qnd extreme anxiety.
3. This is exactly why you need to "counteract" the negative thoughts. You have to make proactive efforts to do things that will change your thinking and how you feel
🎈How do you break the negative feedback loop
1. Actions that help you shift the focus( leaving the area, walking, good music, movies, friends)
2. Reframing the situation as positive ( attempting to find positive possibilities that could come)
3. Affirming ( saying I can, I will, I am every morning and all day if necessary.)
You don't have to have every detail figured out. God just wants you to trust Him with your today. He will sort out the details.
