Himalayan blackberries are a horrible invasive that terrorizes the landscape and ecology of the Pacific Northwest.. but they're also food and I love canning. Today I got the advice that, if I'm really serious about picking, I need to take a 10' 2x12 board and let it fall over the brambles to make a path to the berries deep within, rather than picking from the edge.
