Lebanon bans pagers from planes RT World News (RSS) The restrictions came after thousands of hand-held devices simultaneously exploded across the country Lebanon has banned pagers and walkie-talkies from flights to and from Beirut, the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) has reported. The restrictions were enacted after at least 37 people were killed and some 3,000 were injured when hand-held devices used by Hezbollah members exploded across Lebanon throughout Tuesday and Wednesday. 1 killed in stabbing attack in Rotterdam – police RT World News (RSS) Witnesses told local media that the assailant was shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ One person has been killed and another one was wounded in a stabbing attack in the Dutch city of Rotterdam on Thursday evening, police said. The suspect has been detained. The attack occurred near the iconic Erasmus Bridge in the central part of the city. Police spokesman Wessel Stolle said that the detained suspect was also injured and was taken to a hospital. Stolle added that investigators haven’t yet determined a motive and were looking “into all possible scenarios.”  According to the newspaper De Telegraaf, the suspect was armed with two large knives and was stabbing people at random. Multiple witnesses interviewed by the Dutch media said that the assailant was shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’.  The man “clearly intended to claim many victims,” a witness told De Telegraaf.
