EXAMPLE OF FIRST BAR POSITIVE FTSE (see doc posted two days ago) The first 5min bar is positive. Now my rule and research states that if the low of that 5min bar is broken, I need to sell short the FTSE index. We tend to always see educators post their charts, after the fact. So here is a chart, as it has just happened. I am short the FTSE Index, from 8334. My initial stop loss is 8348. My job is now to manage my stop loss the best I can. So far I have been 8 points in profit. Now it doesn't sound like a lot, but this is the FTSE we are talking about. It doesn't move like Dow, or DAX, or Nasdaq. When I have more than 6 points in profit in the FTSE, I will at least move my stop loss down significantly. Today my stop loss was 14 points, but if I have 8 points in profit, I will move my stop loss down to max risk 5 points. Ideally my stop loss is at breakeven, but that depends on what I see on the chart. I also have the option to ADD, or to take part profits. As I said, this is the FTSE, and getting a "runner" is like watching the sky for a shooting star. You know it will happen at some point, but you might have looked away at that moment. Am I saying "take what you can get"? Well, the document posted two days ago says it all. Have a nice trading day. Tom
