It allows us to relive moments over and over again. For example, think of a family photo taken at a holiday party: at first glance, it's just a snapshot of people sitting around a table. But when you look at the faces, the gestures, you begin to remember the day, the conversations, the laughter and the emotions that were in the air. 📌Tell me what your favorite family photo is? 📸 How did one random photo in motion change the world of photography? Many photographs become masterpieces not because they are perfectly planned, but because they captured a moment that could not be replicated. 🪖One such iconic shot is “The Kiss in Times Square”, which was taken on August 14, 1945. This day went down in history as Victory over Japan Day as people in New York City celebrated the end of World War II.  🎗 Photographer Alfred Eisenstadt happened to notice an American sailor suddenly grabbing a nurse and kissing her in Times Square. He reacted quickly, catching this impulsive and joy-filled moment on camera. 🎉 The photo conveyed the emotions of an entire generation - jubilation, relief and hope for peace. Today, it remains a symbol of celebration and soldiers coming home. But what makes this shot special is the movement: the photographer caught the moment when life unfolded right in front of the lens. Why is this important for us aspiring photographers? 💃 Photographing in motion is not just a technical technique. It's a way to capture vivid, intense emotions. In this photo, the nurse and the sailor are in constant motion, and it is this movement that makes the photo come alive. 📸 Tip from Mr. Photonaut: Sometimes the key to a successful motion photo is catching the moment in time, not perfectly adjusted settings. Shutter speed: what is it and how do I learn to control it? Dear Pictographs members. We want to share a little professional advice with you.  🦋 Do you know the situation when you see a butterfly flying, you want it to freeze in the air, giving you time to take the perfect shot? Unfortunately, we can't ask it to stop. But we can capture the right moment with photography techniques!  What is shutter speed? Shutter speed is the amount of time your camera's shutter stays open, letting light into the sensor. The shorter the shutter speed, the less light gets in, and the sharper moving objects become. As the shutter speed increases, objects that are moving will appear blurry. How do I find the shutter speed setting on my phone? Open the camera and go to Pro Mode (or Pro Mode).📱 Find the setting labeled “Shutter Speed” or with the letter S.🔎 Set the shutter speed value: from 1/8000 to 0.5 seconds.⏱ How to choose the shutter speed correctly? 🔸1/8000 is a short shutter speed. Great for shooting fast moving subjects such as birds or sports scenes. Minimal blur, the subject will look sharp. 🔸1/125 - medium shutter speed. Suitable for shooting subjects where you want to convey a bit of movement. For example, a butterfly in flight: its wings will be slightly blurred, but it will be clearly visible. 🔸0.5 seconds is a slow shutter speed. Ideal for shooting night roads with car headlights or waterfalls. The blurred traces of light or water will give your shots dynamic and softness. ✨Try it yourself!
