In a sense, it is a farewell film where the director summarizes and brings together ideas from «Mirror,» «Andrei Rublev,» «Stalker,» «Solaris,» and «Nostalgia.» The idea for the film was taken from the screenplay "The Witch" by the Strugatsky brothers. The text was actually written by Arkady Strugatsky in 1981 at Tarkovsky's request. Tarkovsky explained his concept as follows: «If we do not want to live as parasites on the body of society, feeding on the fruits of democracy, if we do not want to become conformists and idiots of consumption, then we must give up many things. And we must start with ourselves. We willingly blame others—society, friends, anyone but ourselves. Only when you know that you are ready to sacrifice yourself can you have an impact on the general process of life, otherwise, it will not work. The price is usually our material well-being. Идея фильма была взята из киносценария «Ведьма» братьев Стругацких. Текст фактически написан Аркадием Стругацким в 1981 году по просьбе Тарковского. Тарковский объяснял свой замысел так: «Если мы не хотим жить как паразиты на теле общества, питаясь плодами демократии, если мы не хотим стать конформистами и идиотами потребления, – то мы должны от многого отказаться. И начать мы должны с самих себя. Мы охотно возлагаем вину на других, на общество, на друзей, только не на себя. Лишь когда знаешь, что готов пожертвовать собой, можно добиться воздействия на общий процесс жизни, по-другому не выйдет. Цена – это, как правило, наше материальное благосостояние. To repay the debt, the creditor demands that the gypsy's son marry his sister, Aphrodite. However, the boy loves someone else, and Aphrodite only wants to marry for love. After numerous adventures, everything ends well. "This film makes a fool out of a person. A young porter named Zero learns his craft from the legendary concierge — Monsieur Gustave, thanks to whom he finds himself involved in an exciting detective adventure, the struggle for a huge fortune of a rich family against the backdrop of dramatic changes in Europe between the two world wars. Anderson used a complex narrative technique, creating a story-box, a story-matryoshka. He generally likes small details and an abundance of characters and actions, but here he is also small at the level of the narrative structure: we have a novel in front of us, at the same time it is the memories of one of the heroes, and we see the same hero already aged. The film is a spectacle, a feast, for which the designers of costumes and scenery have done their best. By the way, the main musical themes on balalaika, including the theme of the credits, were performed by the L. G. Zykina State Academic Russian Folk Ensemble «Russia». *** 🎬 Отель «Гранд Будапешт» / Уэс Андерсон, 2014 / на английском языке с русскими и английскими субтитрами В вымышленной местности Зубровка расположен некогда знаменитый отель «Гранд Будапешт». Молодой портье по имени Зеро учится ремеслу у легендарного консьержа — месье Густава, благодаря которому оказывается втянут в захватывающее детективное приключение, борьбу за огромное состояние богатой семьи на фоне драматических изменений в Европе между двумя мировыми войнами. Андерсон использовал сложную повествовательную технику, создавая сюжет-шкатулку, сюжет-матрешку. Он вообще любит мелкие детали и обилие характеров и действий, но тут он «мельчит» еще и на уровне структуры: перед нами роман, в то же самое время это воспоминания одного из героев, и этого же героя мы видим уже постаревшим. Фильм-зрелище, фильм-праздник, для которого дизайнеры костюмов и декораций расстарались на славу. К слову, основные музыкальные темы на балалайках, в том числе и тему титров, исполнил Государственный академический русский народный ансамбль «Россия» имени Л. Г. If you haven't seen the first one yet, you need to catch up urgently! "The Illusionist" is based on an unproduced script by the French mime, actor, and director of Russian descent, Jacques Tati, written as a personal letter to his now-deceased eldest daughter. The script was passed to Chomet by Tati's younger daughter, Sophie Tatischeff. She suggested turning it into an animated film, as she didn't want an actor to portray her father. The main character is an animated version of Tati, with the animation done personally by Chomet. The plot revolves around the misadventures of a magician who finds himself in a closed community and meets a girl who believes he is a real magician. *** 🎬 [анимация] Иллюзионист / Сильвен Шоме, 2010 / почти без слов Сильвен Шоме снял два полнометражных шедевра: «Трио из Бельвилля» и «Иллюзиониста». Если первый вы еще до сих пор не посмотрели – срочно наверстывать упущенное! В основе «Иллюзиониста» лежит невоплощённый сценарий французского мима, актёра и режиссёра русского происхождения Жака Тати, записанный в виде личного письма к его ныне покойной старшей дочери. Сценарий передала Шоме младшая дочь Тати, Софи Татищефф. Она предложила сделать из него мультфильм, так как ей не хотелось, чтобы её отца играл актёр. Главный герой является мультипликационной версией Тати, анимацией которой занимался лично Шоме.
