Episode 4: Zahhak's Wrath
Finally, after much deliberation, the result of the vote was announced. Seven of the leaders, with determined faces and unwavering conviction, voted in favor of seeking out the griffins, while the other two, with furrowed brows and anxious looks, opposed it. But no one knew of the existence of an unseen spy lurking in the shadows, eavesdropping on their entire discussion.
A black shadow with wings like the darkness of night watched from above the crystal dome of the council chamber. With the announcement of the result, it moved silently and like a cool breeze towards the misty and unknown mountains. The cold mountain wind howled through the dense trees, as if showing it the way.
Finally, the shadow reached a mysterious cave, its entrance covered by massive and ancient stones. A murmur escaped his lips and he chanted a powerful spell over the stones. With a thunderous sound, the stones were dislodged and a red light shone from within the cave. It was as if the gates of hell had opened, revealing the way to Zahhak's realm.
With determined steps and a vengeful gaze, the shadow stepped into the dark and smoky cave. It was as if he had stepped into a hellish world. Burning lava illuminated the space and the smell of sulfur stung his nostrils. Hideous goblins, with their terrifying screams and shouts, carried Zahhak's treasures from one side to the other. Malevolent spirits, with their sinister spells, roamed the corners of the cave, and wild giants, in cages of bone, held unfortunate humans captive and prepared them for Zahhak's feast.
The informant shadow, carrying important information, made its way through this terrifying commotion and reached the foot of Zahhak's magnificent throne. Zahhak, with red eyes and a hateful gaze that seemed to stem from the depths of darkness, leaned back on his seat. Two giant snakes, with poisonous fangs and bodies covered in steel scales, were like mighty arms, encircling Zahhak's shoulders. It was as if they were ready at any moment, at the command of their master, to attack innocent victims.
The shadow bowed its head and said in a loud and decisive voice: "My lord, the humans held an urgent meeting, which I attended on your orders and listened to its content secretly. They are seeking the help of the griffins!"
Zahhak, who shuddered at this news, roared with demonic anger and pride. The giant snakes, excited by their master's anger, immediately attacked the shadow. First, one of them spat a thick and sticky poison from its mouth towards the shadow, and immediately the other snake cursed it with fire. The shadow was engulfed in flames before it had a chance to react, and with a heartbreaking cry, it burned and turned to ash in Zahhak's fire of wrath, as if it had never existed.
Zahhak, who seemed to have forgotten some of his anger at the sight of this terrifying scene, looked at one of his ministers who was standing ready to command by the hall. He was a strange and disgusting creature. He had only one large eye in the middle of his forehead that scanned the surroundings with a mischievous gaze. Two twisted and sharp horns protruded from his hairless head, and deep and old scars were visible on his face. He had a short and asymmetrical body with a protruding belly that seemed to be swollen from excessive gluttony. His short and thick arms and legs were more like those of an animal, and the blood of the victims he had recently torn apart with his teeth could still be seen on his teeth. Having received a deadly command from the depths of his master's gaze, he immediately ran towards the exit of the hideout, and the sound of his quick and uneven footsteps echoed in the terrifying silence of the hall.
