Many people claim telegram is an unsafe platform for its use. That may truly be the case and there may be a backdoor. But just for any app, even if a back door is installed, if you follow protocol for operational security tactics regarding other social media platforms that have also been installed with a backdoor by the FBI and CIA depending whether or not it is politically motivated or not, there is nothing to be afraid of. What I mean when I say “Following protocol for operational security” I mean opsec for people who are in com or general hackers in general. I want to make this perfectly clear. If you didn’t register with personal details on the telegram app, and you didn’t login at all with your Home IP address, there is nothing to be afraid of. I’d like everyone to consider this through logos. Would it make sense for a government to mass monitor its audience and then arrest every single person in that audience? Governments won’t and never will operate like that. Especially with modern day capitalist corporations such as telegram. Telegram simply wouldn’t allow it because it would be horrible for their reputation. Yes, it should be considered pondering about what telegram does to your user data, but as stated before; If you follow proper opsec protocol, you won’t get arrested. Besides that, why would a government who has to monitor millions of people be only in the interest of you? They’re only interested in the high value targets. Crime runs economies, we all know this. If a government arrested all of those crime doers, there would be no government. If you are a high value target, use a proxy, use a temporary email, a disposable phone number (Russian or Chinese made), and make sure your IP address is offshore from anyone intervening with international law or court subpoenas.
