Harvest abundance from the yard today!
With just 6 tomatillo plants on 4’x4’ area we yielded 10-12lbs of tomatillios zone 7b
With a recipe to make salsa verde for example that uses 1lbs tomatillo it yields over 2 (16oz or pints)
So much can be grown to preserve even in small spaces!
What goodness are you harvesting and preserving right now in north? And what seed are ya’ll planting in southern hem? -M

We bought this manual applesauce and tomato strainer and its been an absolute game changer. Its amazing how fast we can make apple sauce now. No peeling or coring with this thing. I dropped the link above if you're interested in the one we use.
We make ours with just lemon juice (to add acidity for canning and to keep the applesauce from turning brown) and apples. No added sugar and the kids love it.
