Well, since all international test centers made full transition to digital SAT, there are some things you should know about: What remains the same as the old paper-based test: • The digital SAT uses the same score scale of 400-1600 as the old, paper test. • Like the paper test, the digital SAT will be administered only in schools and designated testing centers. What will change with new digital SAT:Adaptive testing - With adaptive testing, an exam’s difficulty is modified in real-time based on a student’s performance. Questions on later sections of the exam depend on a student’s performance on previous sections of the exam. Test questions get harder if a student does well, and test questions get easier if the student doesn’t do as well. The purpose of adaptive testing is to more accurately measure students’ knowledge and abilities. By assessing each student’s ability based on their performance, the SAT can give students questions that are the right difficulty level for them. That will help the SAT assign scores that are better reflections of students’ actual abilities. • Whereas the old, paper SAT takes 3 hours to complete, the digital test takes only 2 hours and 14 minutes. • The new SAT presents a total of 98 questions, instead of 180. • Passages in Reading and Writing are about 100 words each on the digital test, with only 1 question per passage. The length of word problems in the Math section is also reduced. • The new SAT allows test-takers to use a calculator for all Math questions. • On the new SAT, about 75% of Math questions are multiple-choice, and about 25% are grid-in. (it was 80/20) • Score report: 2-3 DAYS @imkonavenue
