Peter Blood was a military doctor. Once he helped a wounded rebel. He was imprisoned for this. After the trial, Peter Blood and other convicts were transported from Britain to a tropical colony. There they were sold as slaves. Colonel William Bishop bought him for work on the prison farms in Bridgetown. The doctor's life was hard and only the meetings with the the niece Colonel Arabella made him happy. Some local doctors prepared an escape plan for Peter, but it failed. During the attack on the city, Blood and the other prisoners captured the Spanish ship and sailed to the Caribbean. Peter Blood turned from a military doctor into a pirate, a storm of Spanish ships. But Peter dreamed of clearing his name and gaining favor from Arabella. He even named his ship after her.
