🌍 Help onze Oegandese bondgenoten in de gevangenis #EACOP 🚦 🚧 Gisteren arresteerde de politie in Kampala, Oeganda, 21 vreedzame studenten die naar het ministerie van Energie marcheerden om hun petitie te overhandigen. Ze werden bruut gearresteerd en in de gevangenis van Luzira gegooid zonder enige voorzieningen. Ze hebben helemaal niks! Geen kleren, zeep, sandalen, tandenborstel, goed eten etc en ook geen rooie cent om borgtocht te betalen, áls ze die al krijgen. ❤️ Geef ze moed! ✊ We moeten onze dappere kameraden helpen! Ze hebben dringend onze financiële steun nodig om eten, kleren en sanitaire spullen te kunnen krijgen. We’re going to demonstrate against Formula 1’s fossil fuel sponsorship at the entrance to the Zandvoort circuit with as many rebels as possible. This action is 100% low risk: music, singing, speeches, flyering, stickers, flags, etc. Invite as many rebels as you can to join! Not so long ago, we were fine with seeing Formula 1 cars covered in cigarette advertising. The tobacco industry used Formula 1 to polish its image: sportswashing. More people die from fossil fuels than from smoking. Is it okay to see Formula 1 cars covered in fossil fuel adverts? Saudi Aramco, the state-owned company from Saudi Arabia, is the world’s largest oil producer. It is also the largest emitter of CO2, which causes dangerous climate change. Saudi Aramco is a major sponsor of Formula 1 and uses Formula 1 to polish its image: sportswashing.
