Ihor was a pupil of the Karpaty Sports School and played for the reserve team of FC Hoverla. He was born in 1993 and graduated from Lviv Polytechnic. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion in April 2022, Ihor voluntarily mobilised to the 95th separate air assault brigade. He took part in key battles for Dovhenke, Toretsk, Izium and Lyman. Despite being wounded, he always returned to the front. Ihor was awarded many honors, including the Order for Courage, III class, and the Golden Cross.
