Aviation Lover

I don't know about you, but to me fighter jets, mountains and summer mean only one thing: C O U N T R Y ! It was one hot and crazy experience to capture these Triple Nickels blasting along the ridge lines last week, with temperatures beyond 30°C, almost no wind in sight and that hazy atmosphere in which all the equipment felt boiling despite sitting in the shade, oftentimes using my arms and body as a shield to prevent direct sunlight from hitting the camera and lens to keep that image quality in check between one departure and the other. Thankfully all of this paid off with some brilliant flying, which is always appreciated and never taken for granted! WFHR! Quick Climb Friday: Italian Edition Alright alright it's been a good minute for sure since my last post *and* my last time in Aviano, but oh boy did it deliver! Lakenheath's very own Valkyries brought down to Aviano their jets and rituals, one of them being blasting unrestricted for Fast Jet Friday departures, which is such a sight to behold. Here's a few snaps from today's short but intense morning, featuring the 495th FS F-35As and obviously the Triple Nickel F-16Cs flying side by side to integrate tactics in the same airspace.
