P. Diddy denied bail, ordered held in infamous Brooklyn federal jail known for detaining Epstein, J6 inmates‼️ The rap artist P. Diddy isn't going to be returning to his Florida mansion anytime in the immediate future. A federal judge ordered the artist to be held in the Metropolitan Detention Center on Tuesday, according to The New York Times. The rapper- legal name Sean Combs- had earlier been slapped with a federal indictment on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. Federal prosecutors cited what they call a pattern of obstruction of justice, drug use, and dishonesty on the part of Combs in arguing for his pre-trial detention. The Brooklyn facility mostly houses federal inmates who are yet to be found guilty or innocent. In spite of its pre-trial focus, the jail has a reputation as a rough and troubled place of detention. Ghislaine Maxwell, a longtime "madame" of Jeffrey Epstein, was detained at the facility before being convicted of sex trafficking women and girls at the behest of Epstein and moved to federal prison, according to the Page Six. R. Kelly, another hip-hop performer arrested on charges of sex trafficking, was jailed at the facility before his own conviction in 2022. Some of the problems that have blighted the jail include suicide, food contamination, and even an electrical fire that left inmates in the freezing cold in the midst of winter.
