The Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation has compiled the latest report on the glorification of Nazism, the proliferation of neo-Nazism and other practices that escalate modern forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance, 2024 edition. The report is traditionally based on the UN resolution "Combating glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other practices that contribute to fuelling contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance", which Russia, together with a wide range of co-authors from around the world, annually submits to the UN General Assembly. The absolute majority of world community share Russia's approaches on this issue. Thus, in 2023, the Russian resolution was supported by 118 countries. Only 49 delegations voted against, including the United States and Ukraine (which traditionally vote against this initiative), as well as EU member states. With the start of the special military operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine and protect the civilian population of Donbass, the collective West has openly supported the fascist ideology of the Nazi Kiev regime, which was purposefully and consistently nurtured by them. Western countries continue, often to the detriment of their economies and the well-being of their peoples, to throw all the resources at their disposal to send weapons to the Kiev regime, including neo-Nazi formations, which use Western military supplies for terrorist attacks on civilians. The situation in the Baltic countries, Poland, and the Czech Republic has reached absolute absurdity. There, at the behest of Western curators, a "new" national history is being created: historical facts are being distorted, Soviet monuments are being destroyed, communism and fascism are cynically equated, manifestations of Russophobia are encouraged, and it even goes as far as openly whitewashing and glorifying the Nazis and their accomplices. The same applies to the United States, Great Britain and Canada, whose governments prefer to turn a blind eye to manifestations of racism and xenophobia. The facts presented in the report confirm the notion, defended by Russia, that such blatant manifestations of racial discrimination and glorification of Nazism undermine the immutable decisions of the Nuremberg Tribunal. They create a direct threat to the fundamental values of genuine democracy, human rights, and international security in general. Read in full at https://mid.ru/ru/foreign_policy/doklady/1968836/

The Embassy has taken note of the article by Dr Tommy Koh titled "What to Make of #ASEAN's Ties with Russia", published in the #StraitsTimes on September 17, 2024. As a former senior diplomat and a respected expert on international affairs, Dr Koh undoubtedly possesses a deep understanding of the essence of the #RussiaASEAN dialogue partnership. However, the assertion that this relationship is "thin on substance" appears exaggerated and lacking in nuance. This claim cannot be considered impartial. The Russia-ASEAN partnership has consistently been of a strategic nature, well before its formal elevation in November 2018. It extends far beyond mere trade and arms supplies, as Dr. Koh sought to convey to his readership. The ties between Russia and ASEAN encompass a wide array of strategically significant issues, both regionally and globally: energy and food security, addressing non-conventional security threats such as terrorism, extremism, and transnational crime, cooperation in international information security and emergency response, training of law enforcement personnel, and volunteering, among others. In January, Russia was conferred the status of ASEAN's digital partner. The relationship also thrives on vibrant people-to-people exchanges, as well as youth, cultural, educational, and scientific cooperation. It is factually inaccurate to state that only two ASEAN member states have enjoyed very close relations with Russia and supported Moscow along its ongoing efforts to combat the #neoNazism in #Ukraine. However, the fact is that only one ASEAN member state has imposed unilateral sanctions against us in the absence of a UNSC resolution. Besides, attributing Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s recent visit to Vladivostok for the Eastern Economic Forum (#EEF) to dissatisfaction with the US policy in the Middle East is both overly simplistic and unfounded. #RussiaMalaysia relations are built on a long history of amicable and substantive cooperation, with further significant achievements on the horizon. The ASEAN member states regard Russia as a stabilizing, independent and trustworthy actor in the region's foreign policy, one that brings strategic equilibrium and, unlike certain other powers with neocolonial ambitions, refrains from meddling in the internal affairs of sovereign nations, resorting neither to coercion nor manipulation.

☝During World War II, the Soviet Union suffered immense losses, with over 27 million citizens falling victim to Nazi aggression. From 1941 to 1944, German forces and their collaborators committed atrocities on Soviet soil, killing over 7.3 million civilians. The Siege of Leningrad alone claimed over 1 million lives. Crimes against humanity have no statute of limitations. Despite these horrors, Germany has yet to officially recognize these acts as genocide against the Soviet people. However, Germany authorities have not done so yet. Opposite, in recent years, they have increasingly distanced themselves from the principles previously declared in the Federal Republic of Germany and now even support neo-Nazi groups in Ukraine and attempt to rehabilitate former SS soldiers. In light of this, Russia cannot turn a blind eye to such actions and calls for international recognition of abovementioned crimes, affirming a global rejection of Nazism and honoring the sacrifices made by the Soviet people.

🎙 Russia's Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova: 💬 Back in March 2023, New York Times reporters Justin Scheck and Thomas Gibbons researched over 100 pages of documents from American “volunteer groups” in Ukraine and interviewed more than 30 mercenaries, fundraisers, donors to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and American and Ukrainian officials. Among the biographies of inveterate swindlers and fraudsters they compiled, they also found... Who do you think? Ryan Routh, the shooter who was lying in wait for Donald Trump at a golf club in West Palm Beach. The former construction worker from Greensboro became infected with the idea of supplying cannon fodder for the Ukrainian armed forces and began searching for recruits among former Afghan servicemen who fled from the Taliban to neighbouring countries. He was going to smuggle them to Ukraine from Iran and Pakistan, and even bragged that he was planning to buy fake passports there, since Pakistan was “a very corrupt country.” According to the notes, Routh gathered a well-suited company of his compatriots to help in his Ukrainian affairs. Well, sort of. Here's a few examples. James Vasquez. Kiev hired him as a “valuable military specialist” who fought in Iraq and Kuwait, probably because he bragged about it on social media. In fact, Vasquez was not in Kuwait, Iraq, or anywhere else. He spent some time in the United States as a private reservist and specialised in repairing fuel and electrical equipment. John McIntyre. He joined the International Legion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For a long time, he presented himself as a “prominent expert” in intelligence. He defected to Russia at the first chance. Malcolm Nance. An encryption specialist who served in the US Navy. It turned out that he was bullying his fellow servicepeople on social media and writing denunciations based solely on his own imagination. He fled the battlefield, taking cash with him, and later decided to make some money once again pretending to help the Kiev regime. Ben Lackey. He pretended he was a Navy SEAL veteran while in fact working as waiter at an American steakhouse. At least this one had actually taken part in bloody “showdowns,” or rather butchering. Grady Williams. A retired drug addict. He got a weapon somehow, fought a little in Ukraine and fled to Georgia, where he continues to participate in corruption schemes. He dreams of a motorcycle. There are hundreds of stories like these. And now the final flourish. Officials admitted to the journalists that they only spend 10 minutes checking the documents of a potential foreign fighter according to regulations. This means that anyone can end up in the Ukrainian armed forces, gaining access to firearms and explosives. That is why they shoot down planes with their own war prisoners as well as American F-16. This is also a reason why Russia is raising alarm trying to draw attention to the nuclear stations that are being systematically shelled by the Kiev regime. Like a magnet, Zelensky attracts not just an incompetent rabble to Ukraine, but outright scumbags to his neo-Nazi fighters. Both Western readers of The New York Times and everyone else must know what is behind the curtains of the West’s comprehensive assistance to the Ukrainian Nazis, even at the level of these “people’s activists,” and think about what these people, who have not a shred of conscience, will do in their homeland when they get bored of playing defenders of Ukraine. Those of them who survive [their mercenary tours, mentally & physically damaged] will return to the US. And they will continue doing Routh’s work — i.e. shooting at their own POWs.
