Before Panoz got into the endurance GT2 category, 21 years ago was when the southern US company once created a bodykitted version of the contemporary Esperante GTS coupe. Testing as a pre-relabel GT1 class entry, it featured a 6000cc Roush V8 engine, nearly 1900mm width of aerodynamics, an extended rear boot for rear diffuser - resulting in more length than the GTLM version, ventilated side bumpers for further airflow, tailored rear wing, and a straight cut double clutch stickshift as per standard
Shame however, because not only is there only 1 picture of this ultra rare rendition, but nowhere has neither Panoz or experienced privateers mentioned this clearly fit Esperante - model number #003
