There is NO "next" "best" Linux distribution every distribution has a niche that is surpasses others in and its uses cases and that all depends on the ones you need. that's the beauty of linux if you want something tailored to your needs you have it (distrowatch), As a linux user Jerking yourself to your beloved distro is awesome i get it, some say debian, fedora, nix, mint... heck even i says OpenSuse, its because once you find the beauty and stability in your distro you just want others to use it too which in most cases might not work out for the others, the idea of having a multiple distribution out there is for you to go out and check it for yourself and see if it meets your use case, while indeed it feels energetic to use Arch because u went through a hectic installation and managed to create a perfect environment for yourself does not mean that it's the best distribution out there same goes for gentoo, lsf, void and what not.
