Turkey’s exports to the Israel continues Despite halting direct trade in May, Turkish businesses are using the Palestinian Authority customs to continue exporting goods to Israel. Turkish exports to Palestine have surged by a staggering 423% in the first eight months of 2024, reaching $403 million. This surge is particularly notable in August, where exports skyrocketed by 1,156%. Turkish businessmen acknowledge that trade often finds ways around bans, stating that Turkish officials are aware but unable to fully track the final destination of exported goods. Specific product categories show dramatic increases, including steel (8,722% rise), chemicals (3,388% rise in August), and mining products (62,174% rise).
