Former Liverpool defender Joel Matip is keen to secure a move back to the Premier League, according to talkSPORT.  The 33-year-old is available as a free agent after leaving Anfield at the end of his deal this summer.  West Ham are reportedly considering a move for Matip, while Wolves and Fulham have also been offered the chance to sign him. @sky_sports_football

Referee Chris Kavanagh told Declan Rice he "doesn't like the rule" for booking players who delay restarts - as the official sent the Arsenal midfielder off for a second yellow in the Gunners' 1-1 draw with Brighton last month 🟥 While already on a booking, Rice was adjudged to have kicked the ball away from Joel Veltman's path after fouling the Brighton defender in the second half of the August 31 encounter. Rasmus Højlund and Mason Mount have returned to Manchester United training. Both players have been out with hamstring injuries, but are now stepping up their recovery ahead of a return to action. Højlund is yet to play this season after picking up his problem during a pre-season game against Arsenal. AS Roma have appointed Ivan Juric as their new manager until the end of the 2024/25 season.  The Serie A club parted ways with club legend and former captain, Daniele De Rossi, on Wednesday morning.  The former midfielder was relieved of his role as head coach less than ten months after being appointed as Jose Mourinho's successor at the club.  Juric, who previously managed Torino, will have the option to extend his stay at the club if they qualify for the Champions League.  @sky_sports_football
