BS5811 Info Session and Introductory Lecture: How to Design a Recipe That Captivates All 5 Senses Dear CresPion residents, Have you been following the cooking workshops organised by Kitchen@CresPion, Food Craft and Fermentation Club, or RE programmes at your hall? Or perhaps you've been exploring various “food preparation” videos online? 🍱🍴 You may have noticed that: 1. Following the steps in a recipe or video doesn’t always result in a dish that tastes amazing. 2. “Enjoying a meal” goes beyond just taste; it’s a multi-sensory experience. Building on the kitchen workshops, this seminar delves into how our senses influence the taste of food. You'll learn to design a recipe that integrates and satisfies all five senses for a truly immersive culinary experience 😋 This seminar also serves as an entry point for students interested in pursuing the Recipe Development project under BS5811 (3 AU) Deep BDE / GER-UE / PE-STS course offered by the School of Biological Sciences in AY24-25. Attendance at this lecture is mandatory for anyone planning to take BS5811 DEEP, Biologically. (You will not be able to register for BS5811 unless you attend this seminar.)
