Directed Studies (DS) is a program for first-year students at Yale is an interdisciplinary introduction to influential texts that have shaped many Western traditions. For two semester, students immerse themselves into Literature, Philosophy and History of the western world. If you are looking for a good academic challenge, go for reading these books.
