Today, I submitted this Matter of Urgency -"freedom of speech and peaceful freedom of assembly are inalienable rights which the Senate must defend". The Communications Legislation Amendment (Combatting Misinformation and Disinformation) Bill 2024 is not before the Senate this week, but the issues it raises should be debated right now. #misinformation #disinformation
