πŸ’ͺ🏻 MOH, as part of a whole-of-government effort, has coordinated public health preparedness measures and is ready to respond to a mpox Clade I epidemic. Our response measures include: ➑ Temperature and visual screening at Changi and Seletar airports and sea checkpoints ➑ Detecting and reporting of all mpox cases to MOH immediately by medical practitioners and healthcare institutions ➑ Immediate contact tracing upon confirmation of a Clade I case ➑ Isolation of those who test positive for Clade I in healthcare facilities until they are no longer infectious πŸ’‰ While a population-wide mpox vaccination is not recommended for now, vaccines will be administered to healthcare workers who are at the highest risk of exposure to mpox, and close contacts of confirmed mpox cases. πŸ”— For more info, visit go.gov.sg/mpox-clade1

🚨 Temperature and visual screening will be put in place at Changi and Seletar airports as well as at sea checkpoints for inbound travellers and crew arriving from places which may be exposed to the risk of mpox outbreaks. 🦠 As of 22 Aug 2024, there have been no mpox Clade I cases detected in Singapore. To date, 13 confirmed cases of the less severe mpox Clade II have been detected this year. 🌍 While the outbreak generally remains confined to Africa, MOH will continue to monitor the global situation very closely. πŸ”— For more info, visit go.gov.sg/mpox-screening
