The Gospel of Truth says that Jesus was nailed to a tree and became the fruit of the tree so that man would learn that they exist in the Father (Monad) and that the Father exists in them. The Armanen believed that their runes came from Odin when he hanged off Yggdrasil for nine days and nights, and it wouldn't be a stretch to call the runes the fruit of Yggdrasil. It is also believed that Odin is the eagle atop Yggdrasil. Here we see that the Gnostic myth is about the North-man reclaiming his esoteric knowledge of himself to use against the archons and Yaldabaoth.
