Check list for CSE-Mains Exam Essentials starting from tomorrow- 1. ADMIT card 2. Photo I card mentioned in Admit card 3. Exam pad - to avoid bad bench in worst case (not necessary) 4. Black ball pen - to fill Attendance Sheet details 5. Own pen - 2 pen minimum plus 2 types also - to deal with all type of exigencies 6. Water bottle 7. SIMPLE WRIST WATCH 8. Chocolates for instant energy before exam (I don’t personally recommend them but some people rely on them) 9. One-two photos if your admit card photo is not clear. 10. Minimal cash + Common Sense + positive attitude. This would be first day of this years cycle, make sure you reach your examination centre a bit early (will help you in coming days). As we enter into the last phase of our CSM-24 preparations, it is absolutely normal to have feelings such as “am I on the right path”, “there is still so much left that I need to cover”, “is this enough?”, “will I be able to complete the paper?”, “i am forgetting everything” etc etc. It is absolutely ok to have emotions such as “I might miss the PT call”, guilt such as, “I must have prepared more, shouldn’t have wasted time”, or questions such as “can I do it?” Trust me all these questions, emotions or feelings are natural. Every one of us who will be writing CSM-24 must be facing these foci of “crisis of preparations”, this mental fatigue is okay. Trust me , this is how you grow, we grow, together. The mental resilience, the emotional maturity and conquering these inhibitions is part of this process. So, Anxiety is absolutely normal and fear, fear in my opinion is necessary to kick out our procrastinations. And next ten days will be a mixed bag of this emotional and intellectual intoxications. You have to protect your core during this roller coaster. So, essentially next coming days are about two things: First is “content” related set of questions like How do you revise the gamut of topics and huge piles of papers? And then make short notes out of them? How do you balance your GS and optional? Should you write more papers or just revise? Second is “content” related set of questions. Time and again I have written on the first part. Tonight in next few lines, I just want to focus on the second part. Don’t read next lines instructively but intuitively. You had a fixed time slot to prepare for mains. Everyone had that much only. You did a wonderful job. I am so proud of you mate. No no I am not just flattering or saying just for the sake of saying. Trust me you have prepared everything you could have prepared. You have read so much of content in last two-three months, millions of people just dream of reading that in a lifetime. You have everything you need in your arsenal. You have collected all the astras you need in this war. Brahmos to Predator drones - you have it all. Now just have the faith. The faith that you can make it. No matter what, you will make it. You will be an IAS this year. Trust the process, the creator and the outcome. The small cells of your body to the great prayers of other souls - of the knowns and the unknowns, everything will come into the right place at the right time. You will remember everything when it matters the most.!! Don’t question your worth, don’t question your ability, don’t question your destiny. It’s the greatest period of your lifetime, nothing can stop you, not even time. Your assessment of your preparations is like an assessment of light by a blind man, you can’t measure it, you can’t make any sense of it, until you get the paper, just like blind man can’t without his eyes. Till then, eat into anxiety. Study as much as you can. Give 14hrs, if need comes, don’t stop. Lastly, these days are very crucial now, have a positive mindset and a wear a winners attitude and use these days as a spring board for your awesome performance in CSM. And it will be awesome. Nothing can stop you.!! Have faith comrade, Have a little bit of faith..
