The “National Party Social Media” have just released a Statement, which if any of it were true means the National Party does not exist: It says it never had a valid governing body of Officers, the National Directorate. Ever. It says not only am I not the valid President, but that it never had a valid President. Ever. It says that James Reynolds was never the Deputy President. Ever. It Mr. Reynolds wilfully lied to the Electoral Commission not once but many times. Once under oath. They are saying that SIPO approved the “misuse” of Party funds, by repeatedly accepting Bank Statements, accompanied by Mr. Reynolds signature as appropriate and nothing was amiss. It says the Revenue Commission’s failure to find anything untoward in their personal audit of myself, 2019, 2020 and 2021 was wrong. It says the Register of Political Parties was wrong to register the Party in 2019 and having reviewed available evidence made the same mistake again in 2023 in maintaining the registration unchanged. It says that the Final Decision of the Electoral Commission signed by Ms. Justice Marie Baker is legally flawed and wrong. Once again, no identifiable human person signed or is responsible for this statement, a sort of “Trust Us Bro!”. And people wonder why I wouldn’t and won’t leave unfettered control of the National Party in the incompetent hands of such essentially anonymous persons.

The representation of any person as a spokesperson or officer of the National Party, not lawfully appointed or delegated, for any purpose whatsoever was and is fraudulent and the defence of “reasonable doubt” is no longer available. Cllr. Patrick Quinlan is under the lawful authority of the National Party as a public representative until such time as his resignation from the Party is received. In such instance he remains a duly elected independent Cllr. and was lawfully nominated by an authorised signatory of his nomination as a National Party candidate. The criminal investigation into the unlawful removal of National Party assets from access and control by the President by certain individuals not authorised to do so shall proceed their normal course unless withdrawn by Mr. Barrett.
