The two maps illustrate the development of a town called Shipsmouth between 1995 and 2010. Overall, Shipsmouth underwent significant changes, transforming into a modern city, with the introduction of new amenities, such as apartment blocks, a football stadium, skyscrapers, a shopping center, and an airport. It is also clear that these alterations required the removal of some green areas along with other existing facilities.
In 1995, Shipsmouth was primarily an industrial town with limited facilities. There were some trees in the upper left and lower right parts of the town. To the east of the city center stood a factory, with a station across from it. The town also had a church in the northwest, and a highway ran through the middle of the city.
By 2010, the town had transformed into an urban area with many entertainment and public facilities. The western section of the town saw notable changes, with all the trees in the northeastern part cleared to make way for new apartment blocks. The church in the northwest was replaced by a pub, and new skyscrapers were constructed in the western part of the city. Below the skyscrapers, a new airport was built. To the north of the city center, a new train station was introduced, while the old station remained in the south, connected by a footpath. Next to the old station, a new stadium was also introduced.
