OFFICIAL CFS IIUM 24/25 ANNOUNCEMENT CHANNEL

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL MAHALLAH STUDENTS Unfortunately the power cut in the Campus has caused so much uncertainty and inconvenience to all of us. While waiting for the full electic power recovery, here are my advices and suggestions to reduce the impacts of this issue to you: 1) Emergency power supply is still available at usrah areas at all levels and all blocks. You may use it responsibly to charge your device and use that area for study. Please share the space. You may use any usrah room at any block if you like (Males: F2, F3, F4 and F7; Females: F1, F5, F6, F8, F9, F10, F11) 2) Cafeteria in MFZ, MKAW and MUK might be closed tonight. Thus, I urge you to get adequate drinking water supply immediately and get your dinner ready. 3) Do not use elevator. Some elevators may still function even during the power cut due to its nature and backup power supply. However, you are not allowed to use the elevator at anytime during this period. Please use stairs only. 4) Avoid using candles to illuminate your room. This is due to safety reason to avoid fire. 5) Water supply will not be interrupted for the next two day. Mahallah and Nadi Cergas have taken immediate action to make sure that students can still have a consistent flow of water supply. The generator located in each block is still able to do the work. However please use the water supply responsibly. 6) Individual safety is individual responsibility. The corridors and stairs will have emergency electric supply as such emergency lamp will be automatically turned ON. Please report if you found that any of the emergency lamp is not functioning; technician will come and take action to repair it. 7) Going out from campus must be done with caution. We understand that some students may decide to go out from campus and find suitable place to stay or study. Be mindful and please take care of yourself and well-being. Please inform your friends and any fellow your location if you are planning to go out. If you feel worried, and need to talk to someone about it.
